Burger King Announces It Expects to Pursue IPO

Burger King Holdings, Inc. expects to file a
registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission in
connection with an initial public offering of shares of its common stock in
late February or early March, it was announced today by Chairman and CEO Greg
Brenneman.

Panera Bread Announces Continued Expansion in Ohio

Panera Bread
today announced new agreements with Breads of the World, LLC to
develop additional bakery-cafes in both the Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio,
markets. Breads of the World currently operates more than 40 Panera locations
in the region.

Taco Del Mar Inks Development Deal for All of Canada

Taco Del Mar, a Seattle-based quick
service restaurant chain specializing in Baja style “mondo burritos and
rippin’ tacos,” announced today it has successfully completed negotiations
with British Columbia based TDM Federal Holdings, Inc. to develop restaurants
across Canada. The deal could produce 300 Taco Del Mar franchises in Canada
over the next four years, and nearly double that by 2014.

Round Table Pizza, Inc. announced
today that Jim Fletcher has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors
and will continue as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.

Chick-fil-A Founder’s Grandson Opens St. Petersburg’s Newest Chick-fil-A Restaurant

On Jan. 19,
Chick-fil-A will open its newest free-standing restaurant in the market, but
this particular location will have special significance. The new restaurant
will be operated by Andrew Cathy, grandson of Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy
and son of the chain’s president, Dan Cathy — marking the first “third-
generation” Cathy family Chick-fil-A franchisee.

Pizza Inn’s new Vice President of Development, Darrell Smith, and its new Vice President of Brand Management, Danny Meisenheimer, are expected to help lead the chain into a turnaround.
