Pancheros Mexican Grill announced today the promotion of Ryan Murrin to chief marketing officer.

Murrin’s appointment to CMO marks an important milestone for the Pancheros leadership team as the company continues its brand evolution and solidifies its reputation as the quintessential Midwest-based Mexican chain with a national cult-like following.

Since joining the Pancheros leadership team as vice president of marketing and franchise development in 2018, Murrin has played a pivotal role in evolving the brand’s marketing strategy to elevate awareness and deepen customer affinity for Pancheros across all platforms.

“It’s been an honor and a privilege to help Pancheros grow over the last two and a half years,” says Murrin. “The entire organization — marketing, operations, franchisees and our Support Center — has really come together to elevate the business. As a native Iowan, and a graduate of the University of Iowa, I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to help propel growth for Pancheros with an amazing group of colleagues and owners.”

Under Murrin’s leadership, the Pancheros marketing team revamped its marketing strategy, elevated brand awareness through integrated marketing programs, increased loyalty membership by 76 percent, relaunched the mobile app and built a new customer experience process and team.

“Our brand has benefited significantly from Ryan’s marketing expertise and hard work, so it’s an honor to promote him to our chief marketing officer,” says Rodney Anderson, CEO and founder of Pancheros. “He’s grown a terrific team and elevated our marketing since joining us in 2018. I look forward to seeing all he accomplishes as CMO for us as a brand and a team.”
