Panda Express released the newest member of its go-to comfort food family, Peking Pork. Available now through December, the new dish features crispy, lightly battered pork chop bites complemented with green bell peppers and onions tossed in a savory sweet-and-sour glaze.

Reflecting America’s inclusive culinary culture, Peking Pork is rooted in the bold flavors of its Chinese heritage while satisfying guests’ desires to explore and experience new American comfort food tastes.

“From the wok to the first bite, Peking Pork is a sensory experience that delivers the bold flavors and nostalgic satisfaction of our favorite Chinese dishes,” says Jimmy Wang, director of culinary innovation at Panda Express. “As the home of American Chinese food, Panda Express is uniquely positioned to tap into the feel-good emotions associated with our culture’s cuisine.”

Alongside Peking Pork, Panda Express has introduced a newly designed takeout box, a universal symbol of American Chinese comfort food. Paying homage to Panda Express’s Chinese and American origins, the new design unites the Great Wall of China and San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge through a Chinatown archway, while giving nod to the popular takeout box illustration Americans have grown to expect when ordering Chinese food.

“As Panda continues to innovate with new dishes like Peking Pork and design elements including the new takeout box, we also continue to embrace the cultural traditions that help make Panda the go-to destination for Americans to explore their love affair with Chinese comfort food,” Wang says.
