In support of New Year’s resolutions aiming to slim the waistline, Papa Murphy’s has added another pizza to its lower-fat, lower-calorie thin crust line – the Chicken Bacon Artichoke deLITE Pizza. Introduced in stores this week, the pizza is sure to please both meat and veggie fans. Beginning with a cracker-thin crust, it’s topped with Papa Murphy’s creamy garlic sauce, 100 percent real mozzarella cheese, crispy bacon, grilled chicken, fresh spinach, marinated artichoke hearts, shredded parmesan, and herbs. The Chicken Bacon Artichoke deLITE Pizza joins a variety of others in the line, including the Pepperoni deLITE, Veggie deLITE, and the Herb Chicken Mediterranean deLITE.

David Gardner, Papa Murphy’s director of research and development, says that the Chicken Bacon Artichoke deLITE meets the challenging level of sophistication that today’s consumer palate presents. “Take artichokes, for example. They aren’t a fringe ingredient in the pizza business anymore. Not only do our guests expect fresh ingredients, but they look for a variety of toppings. We can do that.”

The Chicken Bacon Artichoke deLITE Pizza has almost half the fat and calories of regular pizzas. deLITEs take 10 to 12 minutes to bake in customers’ home ovens. Prices start at $7.99.
