ParTech Inc. (PAR), a subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation, announced that PAR Solutions Partner Essential Systems Solutions has won VSR’s 2014 Innovative Solution Award for the Most Innovative Point-of-Sale category. Essential was selected by VSR's editorial team as a retail or hospitality VAR which best created a point-of-sale platform that improved customer experience and productivity. With the Innovative Solution Awards, VSR (Vertical Systems Reseller) and RSPA (Retail Solutions Providers Association) recognize those who create cutting-edge and revolutionary solutions in six categories.

Essential customized PAR’s PixelPoint and the EverServ 500 terminals at Salon Centric’s, a division of L'Oreal, Trade Shows as merchandise POS terminals for each exhibitor. The point of sale system was adapted to be portable and have the ability to be used by a network of stations. After the initial implementation, speed of service increased and better management and control of revenue and inventory was realized. In June, Essential was also recognized by PAR with a New Customer Win Award for their work on the Salon Centric project.
