PDQ presents a $25,000 check to the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay, Florida.

Award-winning PDQ restaurants (People Dedicated to Quality) announced that they raised $65,000 as part of a recently completed giveback campaign at all of its locations. The initiative saw PDQ partner with Boys & Girls Clubs across the country to donate a portion of proceeds from the sale of its award-winning Crispy Chicken sandwich as well as donations from guests at all locations from December 3 through January 13. This partnership included working with the local clubs and PDQ restaurants to give back within each of the communities.

PDQ will make check presentations at its local restaurants for all donations over $1,000, which includes 15 different clubs across the country. PDQ will present a check for $25,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay, Florida, 10,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida, $5,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of the Suncoast, Florida, $4,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida, and $2,500 each to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, Florida, Cabarrus County, North Carolina, and Marion County, Florida. Other clubs that will receive $1,000 or more include the Boys & Girls Clubs of Alachua County, Florida, Lee County, Florida, Hicksville, New York, Manatee County, Florida, Palm Beach County, Florida, Polk County, Florida, Sarasota County, Florida, and Wake County, North Carolina.

“Our giveback campaign with local Boys & Girls Clubs was a tremendous success, and we are extremely thankful to all of our guests who supported this important initiative,” said Bob Basham, PDQ co-founder and principal owner, and a trustee and past board chair for the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay Foundation. “Like our PDQ team members, the Boys & Girls Clubs are filled with People Dedicated to Quality who have been impacting lives for decades and our team was honored to be able to partner with them through this initiative.”

"We are grateful to PDQ who leveraged their brand to impact multiple communities serving youth through Boys & Girls Clubs,” said Chris Letsos, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay. “We appreciate the philanthropy of a company headquartered in Tampa that uniquely markets a product with a cause, while also celebrating the work of dedicated Club Professionals throughout the shared markets."
