Award-winning restaurant PDQ—short for “People Dedicated to Quality”—will open its newest store in Clermont, Florida, on May 7, making it the company’s 56th U.S. location. With its quality approach, PDQ offers chef-driven recipes and mindful ingredients typically found in a fine casual restaurant with the value, speed and convenience of the fast food and fast casual segment. PDQ will bring its famous hand-breaded chicken tenders, hand-tossed salads, made-to-order sandwiches, and hand-spun milkshakes to the Orlando market with its second area location.
PDQ Clermont will be the first PDQ to open with an enhanced chef-inspired menu created by PDQ Executive Chef Michael Brannock and Chef Bryce Bonsack, including seasonal bowls such as the Thai Peanut and Smokehouse BBQ with hand-fried pickles, and premium chicken sandwiches like the Southern Pimento Crunch and Grilled Hawaiian. Four specialty salads highlight the choices, including a healthy Garden Citrus salad and a new Kale Caesar, with shaved Brussels sprouts and shaved Parmesan, Asiago and Romano cheeses.
The new menu will also include unique sides such as roasted garlic broccoli, PDQ’s oven-roasted sweet potatoes with marshmallow fluff and pecans, and hand-breaded fresh zucchini fries. Nearly everything on the menu features PDQ’s 14 homemade sauces and dressings, all made from scratch in-house every day.
The first 50 people in line at the restaurant on opening morning will receive $50 in PDQ gift cards as well as one free combo meal and a PDQ gift bag. The grand opening will also include random giveaways throughout the day as well as live music.
“We are thrilled to join the Clermont community and excited to bring our team of People Dedicated to Quality to the area,” says PDQ CEO and co-founder Nick Reader. “We invite everyone to join us and try our PDQ favorites, which have been a staple of our brand since we opened in Tampa in 2011, as well as our newest fresh seasonal offerings.”
A fit for all members of the family, PDQ Clermont is located at 1660 E. Highway 50 and is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. The newest location includes PDQ’s signature open kitchen, as well as indoor and outdoor seating where guests can enjoy favorites for dine-in or take-out, as well as a drive-thru and availability to cater for events.
PDQ, who aims to develop ties in its local communities, will be donating to local Clermont organizations including Lost Lake Elementary School as well as Clermont and Windy Hill Middle Schools.
