To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Penn Station East Coast Subs, the fast-casual restaurant known for its grilled, made-to-order sub sandwiches, hand-squeezed lemonade, and fresh-cut fries, is offering a Founder’s Special sandwich.
The Founder’s Special, created by Penn Station Founder and CEO Jeff Osterfeld, is the brand’s signature Philadelphia cheesesteak sandwich with extra cheese and a squirt of teriyaki. The sandwich is Osterfeld’s favorite and will be available in all Penn Station restaurants this month to commemorate 30 years in business.
“We want to celebrate 30 years in business in a way our customers can enjoy as well, so we decided to add this special sandwich to the menu in September,” Penn Station president Craig Dunaway says. “The Founder’s Special is a twist on our classic Philadelphia cheesesteak, and we know fans will love it as much as our founder, Jeff, does. In fact, we have only featured the Founder’s Special one other time in our history, and customers have continued to ask for it for years. What better time to reintroduce it than to celebrate our 30th anniversary?”
