The North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) recognized Peter G. Nordell, president of The Edlund Company, with the 2011 NAFEM President’s Award.

The NAFEM President’s Award, presented at The NAFEM Show on February 11 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, recognizes a non-elected NAFEM volunteer who has donated their time and expertise for the betterment of the association.

“I’m pleased to present the 2011 President’s Award to Peter in recognition of his tireless work on behalf of NAFEM,” says Steven R. Follett, CFSP, NAFEM president and president, CEO, and chairman of Follett Corporation in Easton, Pennsylvania. “He has worn many NAFEM hats and contributed to a wide spectrum of programs and offerings in his 20-plus years as a member and volunteer. To this day, he continues to give his time and talent to NAFEM initiatives.”

Nordell’s contributions to NAFEM include numerous committee assignments, including the Sales & Marketing Conference Planning Committee; the Annual Meeting & Management Workshop, which he also chaired; Membership Screening Committee; Trade Show Advisory Council; and a number of ad hoc assignments. He served on the board of directors from 1997 to 2004.
