Philly’s Best, the Southern California destination for authentic Philly cheesesteaks and hoagies, announced the opening of its San Clemente location, marking the company’s 22nd restaurant. The San Clemente store is franchised and operated by Orange County local father-son team, Patrick and Michael Yau and is located in the Ocean View Plaza Shopping Center in San Clemente.
“My father and I couldn’t be happier to join the Philly’s Best family and grow the brand in Southern California,” Michael Yau says. “We’re confident that the Southern Orange County community will fall in love with our authentic cheesesteaks and hoagies, and find that there’s nothing better than the straight-from-Philadelphia products and flavors that only Philly’s Best offers.”
The new location is the first to feature an updated restaurant design, which will be implemented in all new locations moving forward, as well as corporate-owned stores in the coming months. Designed to provide guests with a genuine Philadelphia feel, new restaurant elements include a stainless steel bar top and unique Philly-themed wall graphics.

The 1280-square-foot San Clemente restaurant features two flat screen TVs and can accommodate 30-plus dine-in guests.
