Pie Five Pizza Co. bursts onto the Chicago pizza scene with the first of 15 Chicagoland restaurants.

The new restaurant—marking Pie Five’s 41st location—opened in Skokie, Illinois near the Lincolnwood Town Center. A second location opens in Schaumberg, Illinois, on April 10 followed by the third opening in Naperville on April 17. This expansion kicks off the brand’s 400 new franchise and company-owned stores anticipated over the next five to six years.

“While other pizza-makers may be daunted by Chicago’s world-renowned pizza prowess, we are eager to introduce our delicious hand-crafted, made-to-order pizzas to the country’s most critical pizza palates,” says Randy Gier, Pie Five chief eating officer. “The Windy City is a big step for Pie Five as we expand nationwide.”

The unique Pie Five model allows patrons to top their pizzas any way they want for $6.99, cooked in 145 seconds in a custom-designed, state-of-the-art oven. There are millions of pizza combinations Pie Five customers can create with four crusts (including artisan thin, classic pan, whole-wheat-grain Neopolotin, and gluten-free), seven sauces, and 27 fresh meat and veggie toppings. Add a handmade salad in a baked pizza dough bowl, or a decadent home-baked brownie or cookie pie. The entire meal is ready in under five minutes.

“At Pie Five, we celebrate quality, choice and speed,” says Chris Smith, senior vice president of operations. “You can get a custom pie with dough made twice daily in store, cheese grated fresh from the block and our all natural sauces and ingredients—all ready in just five minutes, from the moment we start building the pizza. And, our crew is not just fast, they’re friendly, too.”
