The Pie Hole, the Los Angeles–based pie and coffee concept, announced the launch of its worldwide franchise program. Named to Conde Nast Traveler’s Best Pies in America list, the Pie Hole features sweet and savory, made-from-scratch pies and premium coffees in a fast-casual, local gathering space format.

The Pie Hole currently has two corporate-owned locations in Los Angeles and Pasadena, and a newly opened franchised nontraditional unit at LAX Airport, part of the prestigious Westfield Terminal 2 modernization featuring nine southern California brands and cutting-edge design.

The Pie Hole is targeting North America, the Middle East, and Asia for their initial franchise growth. The company has partnered with Fransmart, the franchise development company behind the explosive growth of brands like Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba Mexican Grill, who will serve as the exclusive franchise development partner.

Fransmart CEO Dan Rowe says, “The Pie Hole is a standout concept with enormous growth potential. They are famous in their home market of Los Angeles with their neighborhood customer base, celebrities, and the media, and their LAX unit has had long lines since it opened, despite the Terminal 2 development being incomplete. It’s a simple concept with mass appeal and exceptional recipes; the Pie Hole is the authentic American experience of coffee and pie: the ultimate comfort foods.”
