Pizza Factory opened a new location in Oakland on December 19.

The restaurant is located at 2521 Seminary Avenue and is owned by local entrepreneurs Gagandeep Cheema & Yadvir Kaur. The duo are established leaders within their community and also own the popular It’s A Grind Coffee shop, which is situated in the same strip mall as their new Pizza Factory.

“As local business owners in Oakland, we’re passionate about creating great dining options for our community,” says Cheema. “Pizza Factory offers delicious food in a wonderful ambiance, and the brand’s fantastic reputation in the area speaks for itself. Being part of the Pizza Factory family is a natural fit for us, and we look forward to welcoming the Oakland community.”

Pizza Factory is in a league of its own within the pizza industry and has exemplified a strong growth trajectory. Most recently, the brand ranked on the 2023 Franchise Times Top 400 list of the largest brands in franchising for the fifth consecutive year and was also listed as a top franchise for veterans by Entrepreneur.

“One of the key values of the Pizza Factory brand is our focus on community, and our goal is always to partner with operators who share that mindset,” says MJ Riva, CEO of Pizza Factory. “Gagandeep and Yadvir have proven to be incredibly dedicated to growth in the area and are truly committed to improving the lives of those in Oakland through amazing food offerings. We know they will continue to further that commitment alongside Pizza Factory, and we’re proud to partner with them.”

Including multiple fast-casual prototypes, Pizza Factory maintains its reputation for family-friendly dining and high-quality products. The brand specializes in its vast menu offerings, serving fresh, never frozen hand-tossed pizza, pasta, wings, sandwiches, salads, beer, wine and more. As Pizza Factory continues to develop into new markets, the brand is providing multi-unit operators flexible new-build or conversion options with delivery / curbside and traditional dine-in prototypes ranging from 1,000 – 4,000 sq. ft. The largest option typically features multiple dining sections, an arcade area for the kids, banquet rooms for parties and social gatherings and big-screen TVs throughout the restaurant.
