Pizza Hut Heads for the 'Edge'

Pizza Hut announced it is launching a promotion that will send its “Twintern”—an intern responsible for covering its Twitter feed—to various locations in America that are on “the edge.” The promotion is in support of the pizza chain’s The Edge pizza.

The Pizza Hut Twintern, Alexa Robinson, will deliver pizza and a pizza party to five customers who tweet the “edgiest” location to @pizzahut.

"We're asking our fans to send our Twintern to 'the edge' to deliver our The Edge Pizza," says Bob Kraut, Pizza Hut's vice president of marketing communications. "Then we're going to put Alexa to the test by selecting the 'edgiest' locations to have her make the deliveries."
