Pizza Hut Offering 30 Percent Discounts for 'Pizza Week'

Starting on February 9 (National Pizza Day), Pizza Hut, the world's largest pizza company, is collaborating with Amazon Alexa to give pizza lovers more than just one day dedicated to pizza: Customers who use the Pizza Hut skill for Alexa and start their order with the simple command of "Alexa, open Pizza Hut" or "Alexa, ask Pizza Hut for a pizza" will receive 30 percent off their total order through February 16. The offer is available for same day carry-out or delivery orders. Discount only applies to US Customers who order using an Alexa device.

"We may be a little bit biased, but National Pizza Day is certainly one of the days a year that are cause for a major celebration," says Dave Timm, chief marketing officer, Pizza Hut. "That's why with the help of Amazon Alexa, Pizza Hut fans can enjoy 30 percent off all of their pizza favorites and more for a whole week beginning on National Pizza Day. The Pizza Hut skill on Alexa is responsive, interactive and extremely fun to use. What better day to try it than a day that includes pizza."

To enjoy 30 percent off orders placed using the Pizza Hut skill for Alexa, customers must have an Alexa device such as the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Amazon Tap or Fire TV, and enable the Pizza Hut skill from either the Alexa App or Amazon.com.  From there, they can trigger the Pizza Hut skill after saying "Alexa, open Pizza Hut" or "Alexa, ask Pizza Hut to place an order." The discount will be automatically applied and shown on customer receipts.
