PizzaRev, a fast-casual pizza concept backed by Buffalo Wild Wings, announced that it signed a franchise agreement with Southern Restaurant Holdings LLC to develop at least 16 restaurants across the state of Tennessee and northern Georgia.
This is the 18th group of major restaurant brand operators PizzaRev has partnered with to expand the fast-casual pizza franchise across the country. Southern Restaurant Holdings LLC, led by Robby Stewart, Andres Bolivar, and Chip Hackett, currently owns and operates eight Steak 'n Shake restaurants in Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The group is one of the largest franchisees in the Steak 'n Shake system and maintains the highest average unit volume in the system.
“We dug deep into the booming fast-casual pizza segment and PizzaRev was simply the most impressive,” says CEO of Southern Restaurant Holdings, Robby Stewart. “Great food and service is a must, but the company’s leadership and partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings makes PizzaRev a standout brand in this fast-growing restaurant space.”
There are more than 100 PizzaRev locations in various stages of development across the country. The brand currently operates 28 corporate and franchise locations throughout California, Colorado, Minnesota, South Dakota, Texas, and Utah. PizzaRev also signed its first international franchise agreement in August 2015 to bring PizzaRev to Mexico.
“Robby, Andres, and Chip bring a wealth of restaurant and marketing experience to our brand,” says Rodney Eckerman, cofounder and CEO of PizzaRev. “They are the high-caliber, multiunit operators we were seeking to bring PizzaRev to the Southeast.”
PizzaRev continues to expand nationally with support from partner Buffalo Wild Wings Inc., who in 2013 announced an equity-investment in PizzaRev and announced an increase in their stake in 2014. Named one of the “10 Brands to Watch” by CNBC, PizzaRev continues to seek out franchise partners who share the founders’ food-forward mission and commitment to giving back to the communities it serves.
