Buffalo Wild Wings-backed fast-casual pizza leader, PizzaRev, announced today the addition of restaurant industry veteran, Craig Hopkins, as the executive vice president of Franchising.

Hopkins brings more than 30 years of restaurant operations and franchising experience to the PizzaRev team, having worked with national brands including Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s, Shakey’s Pizza, and Arby’s. Most recently, Hopkins was responsible for the corporate and franchise growth of Pieology Pizzeria, also in the fast-casual pizza category.

“Craig’s extensive background in building restaurant brands and franchise systems is a tremendous asset to the team,” says Rodney Eckerman, co-founder and CEO of PizzaRev. “He is well qualified to help lead PizzaRev into our next growth phase. We’re thrilled to have him on board. ”

In his new role, Hopkins will be responsible for bringing on new franchise partners, as well as assisting new and existing PizzaRev franchise groups in securing premium real estate sites.

“PizzaRev is well positioned to lead the better pizza category,” Hopkins says. “The executive team’s commitment to building company-owned restaurants and partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings are key differentiators in the competitive fast-casual pizza segment. The team has built a solid foundation for fast-paced growth, and I am eager to help PizzaRev achieve its great growth potential.”

In just three years, PizzaRev earned a loyal following among Southern California fans that continues to spread across the country as the brand enters new markets. Named one of the “10 Brands to Watch” by CNBC, PizzaRev has captured the attention and affection of investors and consumers alike.
