Fast-casual pizza franchise PizzaRev kicked off 2015 with the opening of the chain’s 20th location in just over two years. The new restaurant will open in La Habra, California, next week, one of eight locations scheduled to open in Q1 2015. The upcoming expansion will include entrance into four new markets: San Diego; Bakersfield, California; Santa Barbara, California; and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

In 2014, the build-your-own pizza concept gained momentum in both unit growth and same-store sales growth. PizzaRev opened 13 new locations, entered three new states, and signed on 11 new franchise groups to expand the brand across the country. Same-store sales continue to exceed expectations, with initial stores opened in 2012 showing double-digital revenue growth in 2014.

“When we opened the first PizzaRev in 2012, we set forth a mission to deliver a dining experience without compromise,” says Rodney Eckerman, cofounder and CEO of PizzaRev. “Our commitment to this mission in every area of the business, from our higher-quality ingredients to the build out of our stores and the franchise partners we bring on, led to a wildly successful year. Our customers’ rave reviews say it all and we look forward to continued success in 2015.”

PizzaRev is focusing on opening restaurants that are best to market. The company also continues to build out corporate stores, gaining first-hand experience that allows the team to best guide franchise owners in building and growing successful PizzaRev restaurants.
