From coast to coast, Silicon Valley food innovator JUST has been showcasing its award-winning, plant- based JUST Egg and is capping off a springtime tour in San Francisco May 29 to June 8 with memorable community activations and an exciting new restaurant launch.

JUST will be hosting interactive tastings throughout the city, including at the popular craft, art and design show West Coast Craft. Locals will have the opportunity to enjoy JUST Egg bites from the brand’s food truck and JUST’s “bike brigade” will be on the move, sharing samples at each neighborhood stop.

In conjunction with the final leg of the tour, JUST Egg is being added to the menu at iconic café bakery La Boulangerie de San Francisco. Starting May 28, diners can enjoy a delicious JUST Egg wrap with sautéed spinach, mushrooms, marinated tomatoes and a side of Middle Eastern style tomato sauce.

JUST Egg is made from mung beans, a legume that has been in the food system for thousands of years. It cooks and tastes just like chicken eggs, but its ingredients require 77% less surface and groundwater and have a 40% lower carbon footprint than their conventional counterpart. JUST has already sold the plant-based equivalent of 6.3 million chicken eggs in its first months on retail shelves and in restaurants nationwide.

In addition to La Boulangerie locations, JUST Egg is served at a number of Bay Area restaurants including Wooden Spoon, West of Pecos, Zazie, Nourish Café, Vegan Picnic and more. The product is available locally at Whole Foods, Safeway, Mollie Stone’s, Sprouts Farmers Markets, Nugget Markets, Lucky, Save Mart, Rainbow Grocery and elsewhere.
