The Golden Cove Shopping Center has a great mix of shopping, dining, and specialty services that overlook the cliffs of Palos Verdes. As a result of high demand and volume at Poke Me’s current locations, the restaurant is expanding to this shopping center with a beautiful ocean view on the corner of Palos Verdes Drive and Hawthorne Boulevard. The official grand opening will be on July 15.

Poke Me focuses on quality, sustainable ingredients coupled with their commitment to consumer’s varying taste preference, which has brought about their build-your-own structure. With over 40 options on their menu, customers can create thousands of unique variations. There are six steps to creating your best poke bowl.

Step one starts with your base, which includes white, brown, or mixed rice, along with mixed salad or organic baby kale.

Once you’ve selected your base, step two allows you to pick two out of five sides, which includes seaweed, edamame, avocado, crab meat, and spicy crab meat.

Step three is the bulk of the bowl where you pick your scoops of protein. Ordering a small bowl gives you two scoops, medium gives you three, and large gives you four. Protein choices include tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore, shrimp, scallop, octopus, spicy tuna, spicy albacore, and tofu.

Step four is where you get to mix your bowl with white onion, cucumber, cilantro, pineapple, or masago.

Step five brings all the flavor to your bowl, where a majority of their unique sauces are made in-house. This includes Sesame Shoyu (mild, spicy, or gluten free option), Yuzu Wasabi, Spicy Chilly, Spicy Mayo, and Gochujang. They also have various types of Ponzu sauces which include mild, spicy, sweet, yuzu, and truffle. A quick tip for newcomers: sauces are unlimited and avocado is free!

The last step is where you garnish your delicious bowl with toppings, which include masago, green onion, jalapeno, ginger, crispy onion, bonito flake, corn, wasabi, roasted garlic, tomago, kizami nori, sea salt, and tobiko. Toppings are unlimited as well.

The grand opening date will be July 15.
