Pollo Tropical has launched a weekday Free Lunch Kids Program at all South Florida locations. Every week day, the program treats all kids age 12 and under to a FREE Kids Classic TropiChop and bottled water between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. The offer provides South Florida kids a delicious, wholesome meal with the brand’s famous citrus-marinated chicken, rice and beans.
Because schools are closed due to the Covid-19 restrictions, many children are unable to receive the school lunches they counted on for nutrition. In South Florida, the rate of food insecurity among children is estimated at over 18 percent, and many children rely on school meal programs.
“We have been part of the South Florida community for over 30 years, and our hometown has been among the hardest hit areas during these unprecedented times,” says Patricia Lopez-Calleja, Senior Vice President of Guest Engagement for Fiesta Restaurant Group, parent company of Pollo Tropical. “We are happy to offer kids in our community a free nutritious meal they love, and hope that it provides some needed relief to the many families that have been impacted by the current health crisis.”
The Free Pollo Tropical Lunch Kids Program is available Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., and offers one free Kids Classic Tropichop with chicken, rice and beans, plus a small bottle of water per child 12 and under present.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The offer is available through the drive-thru only at all company-owned locations in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties for a limited time. No purchase, coupon or promotional code is necessary to receive the offer.
