Popeyes Festival Begins

Cajun Crawfish favorites are back! Popeyes® Chicken & Biscuits, a division of AFC Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: AFCE), begins its popular Cajun Crawfish Festival promotion this week in most markets. The promotion will run through late November.

"Our customers spoke and we gladly answered their requests to bring back our popular Cajun Crawfish Festival at Popeyes," said Philip Fogleman, director of advertising for Popeyes. "Our Crawfish etouffee, basket and Po' Boys were a hit with our customers last year and are expected to drive sales increases once again."

The Cajun Crawfish Festival includes three unique Crawfish dishes. First, Popeyes Louisiana Legends Crawfish Etouffee features generous portions of crawfish and vegetables. This customer favorite is slow-cooked in a zesty tomato-based sauce and is served over rice. Second, the Crawfish Po' Boy has fried crawfish heaped on Po' Boy bread and is dressed with lettuce, pickles and a special sauce. Third, Popeyes offers a Cajun Crawfish basket which includes Cajun battered fries and a buttermilk biscuit.

"Crawfish has proved to be a successful menu item for Popeyes, and we're glad that we can once again offer these special Cajun seafood selections to our flavor-seeking customers," said Fogleman.

The Popeyes Cajun Crawfish Festival will run through Nov. 25 in a variety of U.S. markets.
