Reno, Nevada-based Port of Subs, Inc., announced today the continuation of its expansion across seven western states, opening the first of several restaurant locations in the greater Salt Lake City area on Nov. 17, 2010.
For more than 30 years Port of Subs has become synonymous with the highest quality made-to-order sandwiches and superior customer service. Port of Subs’ sliced fresh sandwiches are prepared with soft and delicious daily baked breads, farm fresh vegetables, quality meats, and cheeses, accompanied by zesty dressings and spices. Port of Subs also offers a breakfast Griller sandwich, hot Griller sandwiches, fresh salads, chips, an extensive line of party trays, desserts, and a variety of refreshing beverages.
Port of Subs will be celebrating the grand opening of its inaugural Salt Lake area restaurant location in Draper, Utah (located at one block west of I-15, 177 West 12300 South), on Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. They will offer customers $2 small cold sandwiches all day long, with customer prize give-aways from Portof Subsand K-BULL 93 FM Country Radio, which will be on site for a radio remote.
Portof Subs prides itself on community outreach within the seven Western states they operate restaurants, and is pleased to be partnering with local HopeKids.org, and will donate $1 per small sandwich sold on the day of the grand opening towards their mission to restore hope and transform the lives of seriously ill children in Utah.
HopeKids is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to bringing hope to children with cancer and other life-threatening medical conditions, as well as their families, through a calendar full of highly-anticipated events and activities. When children who wrestle with these conditions have something to look forward to, it can make the difference between giving up and fighting.
Founded in 2001 in Arizona, HopeKids has three chapters. Minnesota was inaugurated in 2006 and Utah's first event was in September of 2008. Utah started with 30 families and has grown to more than 300, each with at least one child with cancer or another life-threatening illness. The Utah chapter adds a new HopeKid almost every other day and is now bringing an average of 10-12 events per month to these kids and their families.
“Knowing what an outstanding product Port of Subs offers customers, serving only the freshest ingredients to create sliced-fresh sandwiches, and excellent customer service, we are very excited to bring this outstanding restaurant concept to the Salt Lake City market,” says Michael Taylor, franchise co-owner. “Along with Port of Subs, we are very excited to partner with HopeKids, knowing that they do amazing work for so many ill children and their families here in Utah and beyond.”
“Port of Subs is thrilled to open our first restaurant in the Salt Lake City region and very excited to bring our sliced-fresh and healthy products to this wonderful community,” says Mike Powell, president of Port of Subs. “We look forward to building a strong customer base while supporting the community with great partnerships and outreach.”
