Portillo’s, the fast-casual restaurant concept known for its menu of Chicago-style favorites, is shaking up its menu with a seasonal shake, the rollout of bowls, and a great new catering option.

What’s new to the menu: 

Salted Caramel Shake: Just in time for fall, Portillo’s is adding Salted Caramel to its shake lineup. The sweet-and-savory treat is offered in both small and large sizes and will be available September 1 through October 31.

Portillo’s Bowls: As part of the permanent menu, all Portillo’s restaurants will now offer some of our sandwich favorites in bowl form. The Classic Beef Bowl features Portillo’s famous Italian beef, and The Chicago Combo Bowl includes Italian Beef and Italian Sausage. All nine Barnelli’s restaurants will also have a third option: The Italiano Bowl, made with Italian Beef, a meatball, marinara sauce, and parmesan cheese. All Portillo’s Bowls can be customized by adding peppers or cheese for an additional cost.

Catering Party Packs: Portillo’s catering menu now also features party packs. The Italian Beef Party Package includes the famous Italian beef, ready to serve with hot gravy, hot and sweet peppers, and fresh French bread, plus catering-size chopped salad and Portillo’s famous chocolate cake. The Italian Beef and Pasta Party Package also includes Italian beef with all of the fixings, plus Mostaccioli with a choice of meat or marinara sauce and homemade chocolate cake. Both packs are available in small (8-10 servings) and large (16-20 servings) and include a heating kit, tableware and serving utensils.

Portillo’s is rolling out a new catering feature within its website and app on September 1 to make feeding a crowd simpler. The user-friendly menu will help guide guests on the type of catering options for their group, whether it’s Portillo’s Fast Packs, Take & Make Italian beef, or specialty trays of entrees, pastas, desserts and more.
