Postec Inc., a provider of hospitality, retail, and grocery point-of-sale systems, added another option to its portfolio: Toast.

Toast is a mobile, cloud-based POS system with Android hardware and dual functionality: It’s both a restaurant point-of-sale system and a restaurant management system. In addition to the POS functions, it manages online ordering, gift cards, loyalty programs, and inventory with advanced cloud-based reporting on labor, sales, and menus. New software updates are seamlessly done through the cloud and free of charge to the customer.

“We are very aware of the demand for an advanced, affordable, and reliable point-of-sale architecture,” says Alan Wright, VP of sales at Postec. “After a thorough evaluation of affordable tablet-based solutions that leverage cloud technology, I am very excited that Toast selected us to be their exclusive sales and support partner in the Southeast.”

Toast’s tech savvy leadership and recent infusion of $30 million VC dollars led by Bessemer Venture Partners and GV (formerly Google Ventures) has made it a standout in the marketplace, quadrupling its growth year over year across the U.S. Add that to Postec’s 29-year history of award-winning support and service infrastructure, and the partnership is a win-win for Southeastern restaurateurs.

“We are excited to have Postec, a recognized leader in restaurant POS, join the Toast family to represent us in all of their offices,” says Lynn Harris, director of reseller channel at Toast. “Delivering exceptional customer service is fundamental to Toast, and partnering with a local company that shares this commitment will help ensure that our customers enjoy that same satisfaction with Toast in Postec’s operating areas.”
