Continuing in its commitment to help entrepreneurs brand themselves and take their businesses to the next level, PostNet, the nation’s first and only Neighborhood Business Center with more than 700 franchise locations worldwide, launched the company’s second annual Boost This Biz campaign.
One deserving restaurant owner could be awarded a $5,000 grant and $10,000 marketing makeover including design, print (menus, banners, in-restaurant promotions), copy, and shipping services at their nearest PostNet location.
In celebration of National Small Business Week, any restaurant or other small business owner looking to grow their business can enter the Boost This Biz contest on PostNet’s Facebook page. The five entries with the most votes by June 8, 2012 will move on to the final judging round, where an impartial panel of fellow entrepreneurs will choose one grand prize winner. The remaining four finalists will each receive a $200 American Express gift card.
“We were truly moved and inspired by the hundreds of business owners that entered last year’s contest and shared their business aspirations with us and each other,” says Steve Greenbaum, co-founder and CEO of PostNet. “Every day, our franchise owners work to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses. The Boost This Biz campaign is simply a larger extension of our daily mission to recognize and support hard-working business owners across the country.”
The winner of last year’s “Boost This Biz” contest was Kathryn Morris-Miller, owner of Glass Specialists, Inc., a glass repair shop in Jacksonville, Florida. She used the prize to add screen repair services to the business model and worked with the PostNet of Orange Park to develop a marketing plan to boost the company’s visibility, including the design and development of a variety of promotional items, from squeegees for shower to vehicle decals and logo magnets.
“Winning the Boost this Biz contest helped us add a necessary component to our business as windows and screens go hand in hand,” Morris-Miller says. “The promotional products designed by the PostNet of Orange Park we were able to increase our visibility which resulted in several new repeat customers.”
PostNet franchise owners across the country work closely with business owners to identify their objectives, build upon their ideas, and develop the best solution to meet their needs. For a restaurateur, this could include anything from designing and printing menus, signage, banners, etc., to helping create a brand image for a new or existing restaurant looking to re-invent itself. PostNet also offers freedom of choice for the customer as a multi-carrier of shipping services including FedEx, UPS and the U.S. Postal Service.
