Potbelly Sandwich Shop recently announced two new franchise openings in Midland, Texas, and Ames, Iowa. The Midland shop is located at 1401 N. Loop 250 W on the west side of town, near Security Bank Ballpark. The Ames shop, located across the street from the Iowa State University Memorial Union building at 2310 Lincoln Way, is the first Potbelly to open in Iowa. The neighborhood hangout features toasty warm sandwiches, hand-dipped milkshakes, and live, local music.
Potbelly has earned a reputation in communities across the United States for having delicious food, fun décor, and fresh tunes. Franchise owners Dora and Kase Braun in Midland and Paul Goldammer in Ames bring more than a decade of restaurant industry experience.
Dora and Kase are opening the sandwich shop alongside operating partner Sonja Gutierrez, who hails from nearby Greenwood, Texas, and has worked with the Brauns in the restaurant industry for years. Gutierrez will manage the shop’s day-to-day operations, including hiring staff and booking local musicians.
Goldammer is opening the sandwich shop to a community with an emphatic excitement for new brands. Many eager fans have already grown to love the brand during their time throughout other areas of the Midwest, where Potbelly has an established presence.
Potbelly Sandwich Shop first opened in Chicago in 1977, and now includes more than 400 shops across the U.S. There are also 30-plus franchise shops in the U.S. and abroad, and the company is projecting more franchised shops to open through the end of 2016.
