Potbelly Sandwich Works celebrated the opening of the restaurant’s 200th store, which is located in Reston, Virginia. To commemorate the event, Potbelly hosted a fundraiser at the store, located in Reston Town Center, to benefit Reston Association’s Camp Scholarship Program, where guests made donations during the event, and Potbelly matched customer donations for a grand total of $2,500. Everyone who came to the event received a free sandwich or salad.

The event also included live entertainment, a shake salute, a celebration “cake,” and check presentation to John Gasson, president of the Friends of Reston Board of Directors, Kathleen McKee, secretary of the Reston Association Board of Directors, and Barb Beaver, Reston Association Camps program supervisor.

Reston Association’s Camp Scholarship Program is an extensive camp program that has been serving kids ages 3-16 for more than 30 years.

Annually, Potbelly supports more than 500 different organizations through Free Sandwich Day charity events, Fund Raising Nights, larger charitable efforts benefiting causes such as Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation, and others.
