McDonald’s Promotes Disney’s New Treasure Planet Movie

McDonald’s is teaming up with Walt Disney Pictures’ latest animated feature film, Treasure Planet. From November 21 through December 19, McDonald’s will feature special packaging and toys in its children’s meals.

Happy Meal toys will feature eight collectible characters from the movie and Might Kids Meals will come with a preview CD-ROM of movie-themed games. Happy Meals will be served in special boxes modeled after the Treasure Planet ship.

Treasure Planet is an animated science fiction film retelling the classic story, Treasure Island.

McDonald’s Corporation and Walt Disney Company are global alliance partners in an exclusive ten-year multi-divisional, multi-national relationship. McDonald’s has exclusive restaurant industry marketing rights to Disney properties, including film, home video, theme parks, and television.
