A new food destination in San Juan Puerto Rico recently experienced the design talents of Puerto Rico, an interior architecture firm headquartered in Washington, D.C.

Owned by CPG/GS Island Properties VI, LLC, this Food Hall provides an inspiring atmosphere for the local community as well as “up-and-coming” chefs.

Located near the historic Fort San Geronimo in the WeCo District, Paseo Caribe now houses El Mercado.

“This new food hall has really set the bar high against other markets and halls in the world,” explains Peter Hapstak, Principal/Co-Founder of Hapstak Demetriou+. “El Mercado is the perfect place to meet your friends and family for a casual, yet chic meal with a view,” Hapstak continued.

At HapstakDemetriou+, the firm believes great design is great for business and should always provide an ROI.  Whether it’s designing to increase brand value, re-thinking luxury as an investment rather than an expense, or milking a budget to design for the bottom line, HD has the business-savvy part covered.

With restaurant projects throughout Washington, D.C., Arlington, Virginia, Miami, Florida, and New York City, as well as San Juan Puerto, Rico, the firm prides itself on their restaurant “design and brand work” they produce that spans the Globe.
