Qdoba Mexican Grill, the fast-casual restaurant concept known for its wide variety of fresh and innovative Mexican fare, announced a mobile-optimized version of its Qdoba Rewards program nationwide that allows guests to access, manage, and redeem their rewards via any smart phone.

Qdoda developed the mobile-optimized version in an effort to better serve the digital lifestyle demands of its most loyal customers. More than 73 percent of smartphone users indicated that they are interested in interacting with loyalty programs through their mobile device, according to a recent report from Maritz Loyalty Marketing.

“Our research found that many of our current rewards members find value in our rewards program, but were becoming less inclined to carry a physical card due to their ever-evolving digital lifestyles,” says Chris Bingel, marketing programs manager at Qdoba. “Our new mobile Qdoba Rewards site gives customers the flexibility to trade a card in their wallet for an easy mobile option.”

New or existing Qdoba guests can join the mobile-optimized Qdoba Rewards program and simply enter their email address to receive a digital card. Once registered, guests will now be able to flash a scanable bar code on any smart phone at the restaurant register to earn or redeem points toward free meals.

With the rewards program, registered guests will earn rewards points for each full-priced entrée purchased, and once 1,000 points are earned guests will receive one free entrée on their next visit. Plus, guests also can take advantage of the mobile rewards program with Qdoba Catering, earning one reward point for every pre-tax dollar spent. With catering rewards, guests qualify to spend their points on free entrées, catering discounts or gift certificates redeemable at more than 100 retailers such as at airlines, hotels, and retailers.

“Our rewards program has been a great way for us to communicate with our loyal guests and stay top of mind by offering rewards in the form of free meals, special offers and invitations to events,” Bingel adds. “We are excited to continue to grow and develop this program to meet our guests’ changing needs.”

Those with existing physical cards that wish to go digital can visit Qdoba’s mobile-optimized website and access the digital version of their card and even save it for future use on their smart phone.
