Qdoba Offers New Healthier Menu Option

Qdoba Mexican Grill® announced today that it will offer its guests the new Craft 2™ menu, now available at all restaurants nationwide.

Craft 2 lets guests mix and match smaller portions of Qdoba’s most popular items including a Naked Burrito®, Naked Taco Salad™, taco, quesadilla, or tortilla soup. The Craft 2 menu allows guests to try more items and signature flavors for approximately $5.99 excluding tax (prices may vary by location).

“While our menu is known for offering variety, we created Craft 2 as a direct response to our guests who wanted to experience more flavors in one meal,” says Gary Beisler, president and CEO of Qdoba Mexican Grill. “Guests are now able to enjoy two of their favorite items prepared the way they want or try new dishes and signature flavors that perhaps they haven’t experienced before.”

Since all Qdoba menu items are made fresh, guests can customize their order to fit their own nutritional needs and taste preferences. Guests can also check out Qdoba’s nutritional calculator on its Web site that allows visitors to build, customize, and calculate the nutritional value of every menu item.

For guests cutting calories, Qdoba offers a variety of single menu items that are 600 calories or less. In addition, the smaller portions of the Craft 2 menu allow guests to create several nutritious meal combinations for less than 600 calories. Below are a few examples of Qdoba’s Craft 2 combinations that are less than 600 calories:

•Naked Taco Salad with grilled vegetables and a pulled pork taco (375 calories): Naked Taco Salad includes grilled zucchini, yellow squash, red peppers, black bean corn salsa, fat free picante Ranch dressing, Roja salsa, and sour cream. Taco includes soft flour tortilla, hand-pulled and seasoned pork, salsa verde, sour cream, and lettuce.

•Chicken quesadilla and a vegetarian Naked Taco Salad (500 calories): Chicken quesadilla includes cheese and pico de gallo. Naked Taco Salad includes fat free picante Ranch dressing, black bean corn salsa, and pico de gallo.

•Naked Burrito and tortilla soup (550 calories): Naked Burrito includes rice, black beans, chicken, cheese, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Tortilla soup includes chicken and crunchy tortilla strips.

To promote the new menu, Qdoba today launched Craft Your Life an online game that allows visitors to play a new version of the nostalgic M.A.S.H. (Mansion, Apartment, Shack, House) classic, which predicts life choices such as who they might marry, their job, their number of children, and which Craft 2 meal might be right for them. Guests can play daily and enter for a chance to win one of thousands of Craft 2 coupons. The online game will end the week of February 22.
