The award-winning casual-dining concept Quaker Steak & Lube, known for its Best Wings USA and more than 20 sauce varieties, opened its Rapid City, South Dakota, location on Wednesday, April 17, at 11 a.m.  

“The restaurant has created 200 jobs and will be the first Quaker Steak & Lube in South Dakota,” says Jacob Wright, CEO of High Peaks Hospitality. “We are very excited and are ready to introduce The Lube’s award-winning food, family fun, daily activities, and eye-popping décor to the Black Hills."

The Rapid City Lube is 7,700 square feet and will accommodate seating for more than 345 guests, including a brickyard bar and an outdoor patio.  

The eye-catching interior consists of several HD flat-screen televisions throughout the restaurant; various sports and automotive memorabilia on every wall and ceiling, including a 1965 Panhead motorcycle; bikes from Black Hills Harley Davidson; a 2013 dirt bike from Black Hills Powersports; and doors and hoods from local race cars.

The Rapid City Lube will feature appetizing menu selections and will hold supercharged events including all the biggest sports events and games, Car Cruise-ins (Sunday), Beer Pong (Sunday), Kids Eat Free Nights & Kids Karaoke (Monday), Tuesday All-You-Can-Eat Wings, Bike Nite (Wednesday), Truck & Trivia Night (Thursday), and live entertainment.
