Quaker Steak & Lube, headquartered in Sharon, Pennsylvania, has won third place for Best Creative Toppings on its Lubeburger at the Third Annual National Hamburger Festival in Downtown Akron, Ohio. The Festival was held on July 19 and 20 at Lock 3 Park.

The Lubeburger, which is a Quaker Steak & Lube original, is crowned with fresh mushrooms, bacon, The Lube’s Hot Sauce, melted American Cheese with Bleu Cheese dressing aside.

The Festival pulled 18 different eateries with over 50 varieties of hamburger selections.

“Akron is the perfect place for this great national festival,” says Drew Cerza, founder of the event and president/CEO of the RMI Promotion Group of New York. He cited Akron’s Americanism and housing of the National Inventor’s Hall of Fame, branding the city the “Hamburger Capital of the World.”

The Lube has also won Best Hamburger through Reader’s Choice Awards by the Cranberry Journal in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the Sharon Herald in Sharon, Pennsylvania.
