Quiznos announced today that it will be featured on tonight’s episode of NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice. Teams on the reality show will compete to devise a flavorful addition to Quiznos gourmet Sammies sandwich lineup by using ingredients found only in stores.
In celebration of the show, both teams’ recipes will be sold at Quiznos restaurants nationwide through April 6.
“Both Celebrity Apprentice teams excelled in the kitchen, creating two new Sammies that we are honored to bring to our restaurants for a limited time only,” says Steve Provost, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Quiznos. “These new flavors will join our line up of Sammies sandwiches, including our latest 200 calorie additions. These wildly popular sandwiches, with 25 million already sold, have won over consumers who are looking for a gourmet meal, at a reasonable price point and low calorie count.”
Quiznos.com is also holding a week-long “Vote for Your Favorite Celebrity Sammie” contest, which will last through March 21. At Quiznos’ Web site, fans can vote for their favorite Apprentice Sammie recipe–up to one vote per person daily. A winner will be randomly selected to receive a weekend trip for two to New York and a two night stay at the Trump Tower Hotel. A hundred second prize winners will each receive a Sammie Combo Meal gift card (a $10 value).
