With the opening of the first of five planned Quiznos Sub restaurants for Guyana, Terrance Campbell, CEO of Camex Restaurants, Inc., QSR’s Quiznos Sub Franchisee in Guyana, says, “the anticipation by the Guyanese people was overwhelming. The product quality is second to none and not matched anywhere in the country.” 

Camex Restaurants, a 16-unit multi concept restaurant operator in Guyana, plans to open their second Quiznos Sub restaurant later this year and an additional three Quiznos Sub restaurants in 2013.

Guyana is the first International market to open using the new Quiznos Sub marketing campaign, “Better than Ever.” The campaign includes new improved subs, salads, wraps, sub sliders, grilled flatbreads, soups, create your own sandwich, and the new value campaign, “Choose 2”.

The first Guyanese restaurant, located on the corner of Camp Street and Middle Street, in the capital city of Georgetown and offers seating for over 50 customers. The total investment for this unit exceeded $250,000 and generated 23 needed jobs for the Guyanese people.

This marks the fourteenth country QSR has opened for the Quiznos Sub chain. So far, in 2012, QSR International has opened nine Quiznos Sub restaurants and one KFC. Later this year, QSR will continue its South American expansion with opening the first Quiznos Sub restaurant in the country of Paraguay (scheduled for September).

In its efforts for continued expansion, QSR International is currently seeking Area Developers for Quiznos Sub in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Trinidad and Tobago, among others.
