Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the U.S., has named Rodney Morris chief people officer.

In this newly created position, Morris will manage recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, risk management, training, development, and the Cane’s Love crewmember recognition and reward program.

Morris has more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry directly involving training and human resource functions. He will be based at the newly opened Dallas Restaurant Support Office.

Prior to joining Raising Cane’s, Morris served as senior vice president of human resources for Fired Up, Inc. Preceding that, Morris served as vice president of human resources – emerging concepts at Brinker International, Inc. in Dallas. His extensive career has also included human resources positions at Pasta Pomodoro, Inc., World Wrapps, Inc., Einstein/Noah Bagel Corp., and Wyatt Cafeteria’s, Inc.

Additionally, Morris currently serves as chairperson of the Certification Governing Board for the Educational Foundation of the National Restaurant Association. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Diversity Council and past president of the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART).
