Fazoli’s franchisees broke more than two-dozen weekly sales records during the last three months of 2014. The premium Italian quick-service chain has had positive franchise comp sales 54 of the last 57 months, including the last 21.

During the fourth quarter, 27 new weekly franchise sales records were set, with 25 percent of franchisees reporting new records. For December, franchisees were up 12.2 percent year-over-year with a solid 10.1 percent traffic increase. Company-owned units were up 8.4 percent over 2013 on positive 6.5 percent traffic.

“Fazoli’s and its franchise partners are in a great place to earn additional share with the recent strengthening of the economy,” says president and CEO Carl Howard. “Consumers are conditioned to looking for the best value when they dine out, and Fazoli’s offers that better than any other Italian chain, regardless of price.”

Franchise Business Review recently named Fazoli’s number 16 on its list of Top 20 most satisfied franchisees in the country. The brand also is ranked number 2 overall among large national fast-food chains in the Zagat Survey.

Fazoli’s is once again expanding with one new company and five new franchise units opened in 2014. The brand has commitments for seven new franchise restaurants, including several locations in travel centers, and is expected to announce several new franchise groups will join the system in early 2015.
