Red Mango announced a development agreement to open its first locations in Atlanta beginning with a store at 5568 Chamblee Dunwoody Road in the Dunwoody Hall Shopping Center.
Ramzanali M. Karimi, along with his two sons, Murad and Malik, has signed a five-store development agreement to bring Red Mango to Atlanta. Their first store will open this fall in Dunwoody with additional locations planned for the Emory, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, and Buckhead areas.
“We are very excited to open Red Mango in Atlanta,” Ramzanali says.
The Karimi family has lived in Atlanta for more than 30 years, and Ramzanali is a founder and director with the Georgia Primary Bank in Buckhead. Murad, a graduate of George Washington University, will work in a consulting role with Malik who recently graduated from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, where he first learned of Red Mango.
“This is truly a family venture,” Ramzanali says. “The idea is to have my sons very involved in the business in order to bring new and innovative marketing ideas to the table and attract a wide demographic of customers.”
Malik received a bachelor’s degree in international business and immediately knew he wanted to be his own boss.
“Malik has experience in the real estate, finance, and retail industries through various jobs and internships,” Ramzanali says. “His talents and background will be a huge asset to the business.”
The Dunwoody location will be a self-serve store offering 12 yogurt flavors, including Red Mango’s core line-up – Original, Tangomonium, Pomegranate by POM Wonderful, and a seasonal flavor, as well as six additional all-natural nonfat flavors that rotate on a regular basis – all around 100 calories per serving. Customers can garnish their yogurt with healthy, natural toppings including fresh fruit, nuts, and granola; and fun toppings like Fruity Pebbles and Cap’n Crunch.
Red Mango is currently awarding franchise opportunities in select markets across the country. More information is available at www.redmangofranchising.com.
