As school systems nationwide continue to look for healthier snacking options, Red Mango is increasing its presence in K-12 food service programs. In alliance with global food service leader Aramark, Red Mango self-serve yogurt machines and toppings bars recently opened at three middle schools in the Crowley Independent School District (CISD) in North Texas.

Just in time for spring, Red Mango frozen yogurt will be available for student purchase at Crowley Middle School in Fort Worth, HF Stevens Middle School in Crowley, and Summer Creek Middle School in Crowley, Texas. Each school will have two frozen yogurt machines serving popular Red Mango yogurt flavors, and orders will be customizable at the toppings bar, which will offer a wide variety of delicious additions.

Red Mango is an advocate for healthier snacking and its award-winning all natural frozen yogurt contains no artificial ingredients. Red Mango offers an extensive variety of flavors that are all natural, nonfat, or low fat, certified gluten free, and kosher. To top it off, the toppings bar features fresh fruit, granola and something for everyone to enjoy.

“At Red Mango we are on a mission to help everyone enjoy better snacking options no matter your age. There have been many very successful Red Mango programs on college campuses across the nation for a number of years and now, we are very excited to bring healthier snacking options to students of all ages in North Texas,” says Jim Notarnicola, chief marketing officer at BRIX Holdings, parent company to Red Mango. “As schedules continue to fill up and school activities become more challenging, it is important to offer students snacking options that are not only satisfying, but also offer nutritional benefits. Our famous frozen yogurt with natural probiotics is a popular choice that can be customized to fit each student’s individual preferences.”

“In addition to serving nourishing meals, our goal is to provide CISD students with healthy, flavorful snacks that meet our high nutrition standards,” says Alisha Jordan, Aramark general manager at CISD. “Red Mango allows us to provide a popular, healthier alternative to traditional snacks.”
