The Restaurant Social Media Index recently recognized Red Mango founder Dan Kim with the 2013 Digital Executive of the Year award at the first-ever RIZMY Awards, presented at the Foodservice Technology Conference and Showcase NexGen conference in Phoenix.
The award honored Kim for his innovation in building a digital strategy around the Red Mango brand, which in turn has supported the national and international expansion of one of the fastest-growing frozen yogurt and smoothie chains in record time.
“I am honored to receive this inaugural award and to be recognized by some of the top digital minds in our industry,” Kim says.
The RIZMY Awards recognize some of the best social and digital brands in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Restaurants from all segments of the industry are considered for eight different categories including Most Influential Brand of the Year, Local-Based Brand of the Year, and Digital Innovator of the Year.
“Since the company was founded, Red Mango has aimed to build brand loyalty and strength by interacting with fans online and extending our passion for the brand beyond just the stores,” Kim says. “This award is a wonderful recognition of our hard work as well as an inspiration for us to continue to be innovative and think outside the box as we continue to grow our brand.”
