Red Mango wants America to rethink smoothies. The chain is launching a national roll out of its expanded menu, which features 22 smoothie varieties, including the nation’s first probiotic iced tea smoothies.

“Not all smoothies are created equal,” says Dan Kim, founder of Red Mango. “Others disguise themselves as healthy, but are often loaded with empty calories and artificial ingredients, and do not offer the benefits of fresh fruit and functional probiotics. We took a hard look at competitors and found a way to offer something significantly better. Our smoothies deliver the flavor and health attributes that our customers know us for in a delicious and satisfying treat that tastes great and helps support a healthy immune system. We now want to share that with America.”

Made with its 100 percent all-natural nonfat yogurt and market-fresh fruit, Red Mango smoothies contain no artificial ingredients or high fructose corn syrup, and are sweetened with all-natural zero-calorie stevia. They are also rich in GanedenBC30, a natural probiotic that helps support a healthy immune and digestive system.

Available in four categories—Fruit & Yogurt, Power (Functional), Fresh Fruit & Tea-Infused, and Iced Tea Chillers—Red Mango smoothies are a permanent menu item, crafted to meet the appetite and style of a variety of consumers. Whether it’s an energy boost, quenching a thirst, or grabbing a meal on the run, Red Mango offers solutions in attractive and portable smoothie flavors.

Early tests of the expanded line met high sales targets and received rave reviews in markets that included Seattle, Dallas, New York City, and Palo Alto, California. The results prompted Red Mango to conduct a national launch across stores in the heat of summer to unveil the ultimate refreshment that will be available year-round.

Red Mango added smoothies to the menu to give customers a healthy, quick lunch option with a nutritional meal replacement, as well as a healthy source of satiety and energy throughout the day. The company’s dedication to the line is visible in a new logo that has been installed in stores across the country: “Red Mango Yogurt & Smoothies.”

To debut the new smoothies, Red Mango is offering four days of free smoothies at select locations nationwide where each participating store will hand out up to 1,000 smoothie passports to lucky consumers. Each passport can be redeemed for four free smoothies, one per day from July 20 to 23, when a flavor from each category will be featured.

Kim and a panel of experts from Red Mango’s partnering suppliers will kick off the free smoothie days at a media event on July 20 at the Red Mango store in Union Square located at 63 W. 14th St. in New York City. This event will also offer all consumers who visit Red Mango’s Union Square location that day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. any regular-sized smoothie for just $1.

Red Mango smoothies are available in regular (16 oz.) and large (24 oz.) size servings, and start as low as 230 calories per size. Varieties include: the Fruit & Yogurt line with Strawberry Banana, Pomegranate by POM Wonderful, Tropical Pineapple, Tropical Mango, Mandarin Mango, Acai Berry, Berry Banana, and 4 Berry Blend; the Fresh Fruit & Tea-Infused line with Strawberry Hibiscus Tea, Citrus Green Tea, Mango Vanilla Tea, and Raspberry Green Tea; the Power line with Protein Power, Immunity Boost, Revitalizing Energy, Antioxidants, and Healthy Bones; and the Iced Tea Chillers line with Lemonade Green Tea, Wildberry Hibiscus Tea, Vanilla Black Tea, Green Tea, and Pomegranate Green Tea by POM Wonderful.
