Rita's Releases Updated App with Enhanced Rewards

Rita’s Italian Ice, the world's largest Italian Ice concept with more than 600 stores, today unveiled its updated mobile loyalty app, which improves the guest experience for Rita’s fans while enabling them to more easily earn rewards customized to their personal preferences, while interacting with the brand socially.

Designed and built by Relevant Mobile, a trailblazer in developing customized mobile apps and mobile-centric data-capturing solutions exclusively for the restaurant industry, the new app is now available for download by Android and iOS users for all 600-plus Rita’s locations throughout the U.S.

“At Rita’s, we believe ice plus custard equals happiness, and thanks to our new and improved app by the team at Relevant Mobile, we’re making it even easier for our guests to experience our special brand of happiness,” says CMO Robin Seward. “The app not only points to the nearest Rita’s, but gives our loyal fans more ways to earn rewards and engage via social media. Now, fans can share their Rita’s experiences with their personal social networks directly from the app.”

Upon a guest’s arrival at a Rita’s location, beacons will work in the background to ping the guest to check-in, making it seamless and intuitive for them to earn and redeem rewards when they visit. Guests earn a Rita’s punch for each visit when they make a purchase, and they’ll earn their choice of either a free regular Italian Ice, frozen Custard, or Gelati on their eighth visit. Promo codes can also be redeemed through the app, to make redeeming offers that much easier. Guests can also find a location, follow Rita’s on social media or refer a friend to earn rewards.
