Worth magazine today named Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), a nonprofit, 501(c)3 dedicated to improving the health and well being of children worldwide, one of “America’s 100 Best Charities.” The article appears in the December 2001 issue.

“We are honored to be included in Worth magazine’s list of ‘America’s 100 Best Charities’,” said Ken Barun, President and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities. “This is well-deserved recognition for our donors, suppliers, and McDonald’s owner/operators, as well as for the thousands of volunteers who have helped build this charity around the world.”

The list of 100 top charities was compiled following Worth magazine’s evaluation of more than 819,000 U.S. charities. Criteria focused on the skill, innovation, effectiveness, and strategic insight charities use to achieve their goals and carry out their missions. Ronald McDonald House Charities was also honored as one of “25 Best Health Charities.”
