RTI has enhanced its interface capabilities with supply chain partner Food Services of America (FSA) through the addition of electronic invoices. This enhancement expands RTI’s partnership with the foodservice distributor, which already includes the ability for customers to receive order guides and place orders electronically with RTIconnect, RTI’s comprehensive back-office system. Now, customers can also receive eInvoices from Food Services of America.
The eInvoice feature enables managers to receive an electronic copy of an invoice, which includes the exact details of the invoice originated by the vendor, and then move it into purchases in RTIconnect. Before a purchase is created, RTIconnect downloads the eInvoice and verifies that all items on the invoice match the order guide. In addition to ensuring accuracy, eInvoices improve the efficiency of the invoicing process by eliminating the manual entry required to move the purchased food into the restaurant’s inventory.
“We are excited to increase our interface capabilities with FSA,” says Greg Waddell, senior vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. “All of our RTIconnect enhancements focus on enabling success for our clients by providing functionality that affords greater control of each restaurant and maximizes profits.”
RTI added this new feature at the request of clients who use RTIconnect to interface with Food Services of America. RTIconnect currently interfaces with 28 major foodservice distributors.
