Rush Bowls – a fast-casual restaurant chain known for its meals-in-a-bowl crafted from the finest fruits and vegetables, topped with granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients – is coming to Michigan with a five store development agreement signed with Elizabeth Lehman, President, BLUSH Enterprises, Inc.

Lehman is eyeing locations in Detroit, Ann Arbor, and East Lansing, with a focus on storefronts surrounding college and university campuses in addition to high-foot traffic areas within a professional building landscape. The first location is estimated to open in the first quarter of 2019 near Detroit as part of the city’s larger wave of revitalization.

“I have four kids who are millennials or generation Z – very similar to Rush Bowls’ target audience. I have seen how their healthy lifestyle habits evolve over the years, and I understand how important proper nutrition is to them,” says Lehman. “Rush Bowls is the perfect brand to satisfy young adults’ cravings, while meeting their demand for high-quality nutritious and sustainable food. Living a healthy lifestyle myself, it’s apparent that regardless of age, healthy eating habits are the foundation to mental and physical wellbeing. I am proud to bring a product to Michigan that offers a nutritious meal in a fast-casual environment. It’s something I’m very passionate about!”

Committed to her business venture, Lehman sold her home and relocated from Indiana to Michigan to open five territories for Rush Bowls. With an entrepreneurial spirit, the former Director of Sales for a large pharmaceutical company, decided to leave the corporate world behind to pursue her passions and ambitions. Her four children will play an active role in her new business, with her son, who is a business major, taking a lead role in the planning and implementation.

“I had a great career in the pharmaceutical industry, which is obviously centered on health. I wanted to go into something I’m familiar with, and Rush Bowls, with a healthy living focus, possesses the same attributes I was looking for,” added Lehman. “I am excited to be a part of the creation of a brand that is in complete alignment with my vision and lifestyle.”

Founded in 2004, Rush Bowls offers meals crafted from all-natural fruit, topped with organic granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients that taste delicious while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Customers can choose from over 40 signature bowls or all-natural smoothies made with fruit and vegetable bases, including acai, kale and avocado.

“Our number one priority is 100 percent all-natural nutrition, which makes Rush Bowls different from other grab-and-go concepts,” Pudalov noted. “Rush Bowls’ meals are crafted from the finest fruits and vegetables, with fresh toppings like organic granola, hand-grinded peanut butter and jam made in-house to ensure the highest quality and taste for our customers.”

Over the past 14 years, Rush Bowls has cultivated a loyal following with its menu specializing in healthy, all-natural, fruit-blended meals-in-a-bowl for those on the go. Bowls are also available in vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy free options, and anything can be custom made to cater to any and all dietary needs.

Rush Bowls has over 80 locations currently in various stages of development across 14 states and Canada, with a variety of deals in the pipeline in major markets throughout the United States. Company plans call for having numerous locations open by the end of 2018, including the brand’s first locations in Connecticut, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, and Ohio.
