  • Industry News January 11, 2019

Rush Bowls—a fast-casual restaurant chain known for its meals-in-a-bowl crafted from fresh fruits and vegetables, topped with granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients—has made its way to the Buckeye state.

Located across from the Ohio State University campus near the Varsity Club and The Shoe at 262 West Lane Ave., the store is slated to open January 11 and will be owned and operated by Rush Bowls of Columbus, which plans to open at least two additional locations in downtown and the suburbs, such as Dublin.

“We are thrilled to introduce Rush Bowls to Columbus residents and Ohio State students. It’s clear that offering products that are healthy and taste great are important to maintaining good nutrition. Rush Bowls exceeds that criteria,” says John McDonald, a partner and owner of Rush Bowls of Columbus. “Millennials and Generation Z are leading the way in eating and living healthier. I’ve observed this trend with my own children, and we are confident that Ohio State students and fans are going to love Rush Bowls.”

Founded in 2004, Rush Bowls offers meals crafted from all-natural fruit, topped with organic granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients to help promote a healthy lifestyle. Customers can choose from over 40 signature bowls or all-natural smoothies made with fruit and vegetable bases, including acai, kale, and avocado.

“Our number one priority is 100 percent all-natural nutrition, which makes Rush Bowls different from other grab-and-go concepts,” founder Andrew Pudalov notes. “Rush Bowls’ meals are crafted from the finest fruits and vegetables, with fresh toppings like organic granola, hand-grinded peanut butter and jam made in-house to ensure the highest quality and taste for our customers.”

Over the past 14 years, Rush Bowls has cultivated a following with its menu specializing in healthy, all-natural, fruit-blended meals-in-a-bowl for those on the go. Bowls are also available in vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy free options, and anything can be custom made to cater to any and all dietary needs.
