SAJJ Mediterranean has partnered with Local Kitchens, a pioneering digital food hall concept, to launch its first SAJJ Kitchen in Cupertino, California. Located at 21666 Stevens Creek Boulevard, SAJJ Kitchen will be open daily from 11am to 9:30pm and will provide pickup and delivery services within an 8 mile radius of the storefront. Customers will be able to order directly from the SAJJ website and SAJJ app, third party delivery services, and at an in-store kiosk.

“As digital ordering has become more popular than ever, we wanted to find new ways to meet the needs of SAJJ’s new and existing customers,” says founder and CEO of SAJJ Mediterranean Zaid Ayoub. “We’re excited to be working with Local Kitchens, which has afforded us to expand our reach to the Cupertino area and further grow our customer base. This unique opportunity and partnership has also allowed us to launch our newest concept, SAJJ Kitchen, and we have complete confidence in the Local Kitchens team and chefs who will be creating each meal on-site and representing the SAJJ brand in this new market.”

Local Kitchens was founded by former DoorDash colleagues, CEO Jon Goldsmith and COO Andrew Munday, and CTO Jordan Bramble. The entrepreneurs set out to transform the concept of a food hall for the digital age. Local Kitchens’ Cupertino site features a storefront and a dedicated takeout customer experience with staff, who have been meticulously trained by restaurant partners to prepare each meal on-site. This digital food hall concept allows customers to mix and match cuisines from different restaurants, like SAJJ Kitchen, in a single order.

“SAJJ represents the best of the Bay Area foodie scene. They reflect the diversity of the Bay Area’s cuisine and culture which is something we are striving to offer at each of our Local Kitchens locations,” adds Goldsmith.

Recognized as ‘Best Fast-Dining Spots in the Bay Area’ by San Francisco Magazine and ‘Best Value’ by SF Weekly, SAJJ’s menu offers traditional Mediterranean dishes made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Guests can customize their own signature sajj wrap, pita sandwich, grain bowl, or salad, or they can choose from SAJJ’s pre-designed Traditional Formats or Plates. Protein choices include chicken and steak shawarma, pomegranate chicken, shawafel (half falafel and half shawarma) or SAJJ’s famous falafel, which was awarded the title of ‘best falafel in the Bay Area’ by Zagat SF. Unlimited spreads, sauces, and toppings can be added to further customize the meal to each guest’s liking. The SAJJ Kitchen features a slightly condensed SAJJ menu, but with many of the brand’s favorites.

SAJJ Mediterranean operates twelve restaurants throughout California, food trucks, a popular catering service, and an e-commerce SAJJ Market. Guests are encouraged to visit www.sajjstreeteats.com and download the SAJJ App for access to SAJJ direct delivery, payment history, previous orders, and loyalty rewards like $5 off your first order, a free birthday dessert, and $10 off every $100 spent.
