Salata will open its first Pasadena, Texas, restaurant Friday, September 29 with another location in nearby League City opening in 2018. It will mark the brand’s 37th restaurant in the greater Houston area.

Located at 4531 E. Sam Houston Parkway, the new restaurant is conveniently located less than four miles from the Pasadena Convention Center, Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base, and Bayshore Medical Center. The new restaurant marks the 62nd Salata in Texas and the 70th nationwide.

Salata will kickoff its grand-opening day with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and other local dignitaries at 10:30 a.m. Doors will open to the public at 11 a.m. and the first 50 dine-in guests will enjoy their meal for free. In addition, kids eat free all day.

Other celebrations include spin wheel prizes, a drawing in which one lucky guest will receive free Salata for an entire year and evening activities such as free face painting and an on-site balloon artist from 4 to 7 p.m.

“We are very excited to welcome the community of Pasadena to our beautiful new restaurant,” says district manager David Echevarria. “We believe our focus on healthy, delicious, and nutritious meals will be welcomed by our friends and neighbors across the area, and we can’t wait to introduce them to our Next Generation Salad Bar concept.”

On grand-opening day, a portion of the new restaurant’s sales will be donated to the Pasadena ISD Education Foundation. And in November, Pasadena residents can expect to see Salata at the annual Taste of the Town event, marking the first “healthy” restaurant concept to participate.

Salata is the only salad concept that is gluten-free certified and completely customizable, serving salads and salad wraps made from a wide selection of fresh, nutrient-rich ingredients. The vegetables and fruits are chopped daily and the protein selection is fresh and lean. All of the dressings, soups, and sauces are house-made and gluten-free. More than 50 fresh toppings and 10 house-made dressings are always available to create the perfect salad or salad wrap.
