Salata, a Houston-based fast-casual salad restaurant, announced the appointment of Iris Campos to the role of Chief Operating Officer. With a long-standing commitment to excellence, Campos plays a vital role in the continued growth and ongoing stabilization of the brand including over 70 corporate-owned and franchise locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Southern California and Georgia. As Chief Operating Officer, Campos will create and implement strategies and policies in alignment with corporate goals, in addition to leading and developing all internal teams including finance, operations, training and development, human resources, real estate and construction, manufacturing, purchasing, product development, vendor relations, and information technology.

Building a foundation in Human Resources since 2001, Campos began her journey as a human resources manager at KBR. In 2006 she moved to Staffmark as the onsite performance director and in 2011 to Flexi Compras as the regional human resources manager to oversee the Houston, Gulf Coast and Rio Grande Valley regions providing human resources consultation, support and guidance to multiple levels of management and staff.  With almost twenty years of experience, Iris Campos draws upon her laddered successes within these acclaimed corporations to spearhead the development, culture, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes for Salata.

Iris Campos began her career with Salata in 2013. She was infected with the contagious passion of co-founders Berge Simonian and Tony Kyoumjian, and immediately adopted what Campos calls “founders’ mentality”. Campos quickly rose from Director of Human Resources to Operations to Executive Director of Shared Services and Operations, and ultimately to Chief Operating Officer. Promoting from within, whenever possible, is part of the Salata culture.

“Iris is a seasoned and trusted member of our company and has played an instrumental role in Salata’s success for the past four years. Campos has shown her dedication to Salata through her willingness to jump in wherever she is needed. We are thrilled to have her join our executive team,” said Tony Kyoumjian, Co-Founder of Salata.

“Iris Campos’ knowledge of our systems—with its unique intricacies and details – her experience, skill set, innovative mindset, passion and dedication to the brand, along with her impressive track record of accomplishments, have primed her to lead Salata. We look forward to the brand growth we will see under her guidance,” says Berge Simonian, CEO and co-founder of Salata.

Iris Campos and the Salata team are committed to driving strong results while encouraging consumers to embrace healthy and approachable dining.
